WOW It's March! In our preschool classroom we always started with the question Lions or Lambs? Funny how preschoolers seem to know you were talking about the weather instead of animals. Yes, children are smarter than you give them credit for most of the time. I am sure it will be different all over the different cities and states when you ask your classroom that question.
Main projects can be made talking about the weather and what it means for the upcoming month which is a very busy one for most.
You can make Lion and Lambs faces
paper plates
yarn
cotton balls
goggly eyes
markers or crayon
It is a very simple project you can do in the morning before circle time or when its your regular project time.
We always let the children choose which one they wanted to make it was always very to watch
the different ones and who might choose what.
Well I hope most of you have a Lamb day, But I am sure a few will bring March in
with a Roar!
Don;t forget Dr Suess Day is March 2, 2015. Read Aloud. it's so very important
and Dr Suess has some of the best children books to read.

Fun Website to Learn on
Today, I wanted to tell you about an awesome website called Starfall. It is one of my favorite learning websites for children preschool thru first grade. Starfall has so many things to offer as far as learning.
You can read, play games and most of all you and your child can do a daily calendar. Wow How cool is that.
My preschool classroom used it on our smartboard, it was a great way to share, teach the children to read as well as interaction with everyone. The calendar tells you the month and year to start off with.
Next you can customize your calendar you will learn so much from it, and best of all it something you can do at school as well as at home with your children, Starfall, as many different learning
skills on their website. Another fun learning activity especially for preschoolers is learning your ABC, It a fun activity to do learning about each letter and the all time favorite, singing
the ABC song at the end. I would recommend this website to everyone who has children and wants to fun way to learn. You can set this up in your classroom or home it easy, if you want
to do more they is a charge but most of the activities that we did were FREE, so why not
check it out your child will learn something and you might too.

What? Six more week of Winter
Did you get up this morning and see if the groundhog was going to see his shadow? Did you sit on the sofa with your children and just wait for the news? Wow Winter I am already tired of it and
its going to be longer? I have to say the people up north we do feel for you. Snowdays and more.
Well today There was an awesome word on groundhog.com and many other activites to do with your class or children who are at home. There alot of information on the site that you can use next year and get some wonderful ideas and worksheets to print out.
We are going to start getting some ideas together for Valentine's Day and frienship day.
I am going to post of great ideas you can use to make your child valentine box for school or
even have home have your children and family member exchange valentines. So stay turn
