Spring Break
Wow what is this. Children love being out of school..Will they have fun, are they still learning?
YES. you can make your week off from school still a learning time and most children don't even think about it. as well as most of us parents don't either.
When your having a snack for example: Eating those yummy goldfish you can get different color ones and the children can sort them or you can have them count them. Eating and learning WOW.
I do hope that it's fun. Children need a break from school daily rush and be able to just relax and enjoy there home setting too. Watch a little TV and get outside and ride those bikes or just running around is always alot of fun. Going to the park or some place special is always fun to do on
Spring Break too.
Just remember when the week of over it' means school is on what we like to call a down hill. Meaning that there not much more learning time in that grade. If your in Preschool it means your really moving up. Kindergarden is so much fun, you learn alot of different things and stuff.
So enjoy your break but keep learning.

Happy St Patrick Day
It's start this off with a big Happy St Patrick Day to all of you. Was your classroom a mess when you showed up? Did you have any visitors? Our house was normal so I guess he must have skipped us this year. Bummer..Well, I do hope so of your with your trap that you made someone surely caught him. Although I hear he/she is pretty sneaky sometimes. Did you wear green? When I was in school it was a little thing if you didn't have green on you might just get a little ole pinch. So many children would go outside and get a leaf or grass to wear. Anything works I guess
I hope that you making awesome crafts in your classroom today. I think my favorite craft was with Lucky Charms.separating them into the correct colors and then counting them to see what had the most and then getting to eat them for snack was truely my all time favorite.
This is a very good project and can be great for all children. Well I do so hope that you have a great time in your classroom today.

March Winds
March is a month when so many things happen:
1-The question before it starts Lamb or Lion?
2-St Patrick Day( the lepchaun coming to destroy your room)
3-Making a kite
4-Preparing for Spring Break
These are all my favorite as well as other information things that you can do in your classroom or at home.
I wanted to talk about making a kite, there are so really cool ideas if you Google them or let you and your child be CREATIVE.. I really love that word especially around children. You can use newspaper and cut out your kit and just use things around the house.
String, paper, ribbons..sometimes the cheapest kite works the best.
I remember in your aftercare class we made kites from cardboard, they were smaller but worked great.
It was so much fun watching the children running and laughing.
So get some stuff around the house and start working on your kite. those winds will be coming anytime.

Hopscotch the Game
Do you remember playing this game when you were in school or even at home? The game is Hopscotch!
It a really fun game to learn and it teach children alot, sometimes we don't realize they are learning or we are teaching them something. Hopscotch is fun, they learn to count, they learn to write their numbers, and then they learn to follow directions. I think this is a way of teaching that is truely fun. Children don't realize how easy learning can be, and it makes so easy when you add fun and play into it.
Our school lets the children play hopscotch, they draw their own playing field, which can sometimes been interesting to watch and see how they do it, but it's letting them be creative,and watching them do it their way. We take the time to explain and ask questions when they are writing their numbers or even drawing the blocks. It's alot of fun and you should try it especially at home or school. Get those
children learning without even trying.

Pre St Patrick Day
Today I was sitting here and thought today post is going to get your ready for St. Patrick Day.
It March 17 which is a little over a week away. Most school let the children enjoy the day with many fun exciting activites. I can remember each year it was so fun to watch the children. When the leprechaun came to our classroom the night before and messed up the classroom and left his marks everywhere.
The other children got involved to by making some of the most coolest traps, they were very creative and the children worked very hard to try to catch him. So my blog is about making some fun
with your children and hopes that your school gets involved and letting your child make a trap. You can search Google and will find many ideas and ways to make them.But the best way is to just let your child imagination do all the work and your project will come out to be really great.
So if your home today with your child or when they get home. You can plenty of time to start
planning and getting your supplies together so you won;t have to rush and they project will turn out great. Again, this was always one of my favorite holidays in preschool beacause the children loved it so much and were so excited.

Read Aloud Day
Reading is so much fun, you can learn so many things from books,newspaper or anything with words. I wish every child in the world had a chance to hold a book and turn the pages. There are so many interesting subjects that books are about. There are books that even have no words, just pictures that tells a story. We all have at least one favorite book that we read or had read to us as a child, teen or even adults.
The sad thing is today most children don't pick up a book or even use a tablet to read. They are missing out on so much. Each day many, many books are published and put out there for us to read and look at. Please take the time to read a book to yourself, your child or even better read to someone,
volunteer to read at your child school or library. But please read.
Share a book with someone today. You will smile and feel really good about it.

Weather Is Fun
Today, I was sitting by the window while waiting to take my daughter to school. The weather is interesting it seems to do whatever it wants, without thinking. You know like always changingit can be raining, and then sunny, then windy. The weather here in Florida has just been that lately.
We have had very cold temperature and then the next day you are wanting to jump in the lake to cool off. Weather is something that is fun to study and learn about. Preschoolers are the best weather reporter. In our classroom we have a helper of the day. There job is to report the weather by going outside the or and looking to report to the class. It's always funny to listen to them.
So will say it's cloudy when the sky is so blue, we always have a recheck just to make sure.Nothing like getting the weather incorrect. There are so many ideas you can do with the weather, likein your dress up center, so in the sensory center. Projects are so fun, you can have your student tell you what there favorite weather is? Rainy,snowy, sunny or just a littlemixture. Weather is a subject that you can and should do daily in your classroom thereare a few websites that are fun to do with the weather also.
